Highland Avenue – Hickory, N.C.

Set inside a restored hosiery mill, Highland Avenue features a comfortable space and a unique industrial-chic look with an open and elegant feel. The farm-to-table concept offers a perfectly balanced menu complimented by flavorful sides. Leave room for dessert – you don’t want to miss it.

Root & Vine – Morganton, N.C.

The New American cuisine at Root & Vine is far from being basic. Expect exciting combinations paired by an impressive wine menu and rotating beer taps. The approachable entrees are a level above, the pizzas are crisped next to the fire and topped with things such as the house hot Italian sausage, and the interior is oriented towards intimacy. Root & Vine’s friendly service adds to a wonderful start-to-finish experience you won’t forget.

Korean House – Asheville, N.C.

Korean barbecue is not only food, it’s a religion. If this is your first time trying Korean cuisine, start with an order of grilled pork belly and marinated beef short ribs. The staff will then start prepping the table grill and your appetite by bringing several side dishes served in bowls and saucers. Each dish is like a little adventure but the thinly sliced and well-marbled meats will set the party in motion. Pack your lettuce leaf with the meats and sides of your choice. You make your own rules here – mix, match or go solo. The Korean House will deliver the best dining experience and will set the mood for a romantic evening.

Larkin’s On The Lake – Lake Lure, N.C.

The unbeatable views promotes this popular restaurant to a special spot on the most romantic eateries in the Foothills. Try the local trout, fresh salads, savory burgers or the sinfully rich milkshakes while you enjoy a relaxing waterfront. The outdoor patio allows guests to watch beautiful sunsets while nursing a cold drink. The courtesy dock also offers boaters the opportunity of enjoying a casual meal after a day spent cruising in their watercraft.
