Bye Bye Dark Circles – Top Affordable Eye Creams That Actually Work

Many of us start using our first eye cream in their 30s but the earlier you can start your skincare routine, the better – best results come from prevention. The skin around your eyes is 10 times thinner than your face and if you don’t take the right steps to keep it healthy, those pesky, under-eye circles will manifest sooner or later. Low iron and B12, low vitamin K, dehydration, sun exposure, genetics, allergies, thyroid problems, lack of sleep and food intolerances are the most-common causes that will enhance dark circles, puffy eyes and other eye-specific issues. If you are determined to put an end to your dark circles, great eye creams can be found at your local drugstore. They will deliver the line-smoothing and dark-circle-reducing affect we all look for – check out my suggestions!

Bye Bye Dark Circles – Top Affordable Eye Creams That Actually Work (3)

CeraVe Eye Repair Cream

The CeraVe Eye Repair Cream is the #1 on this list because it is my most trusted eye cream and dermatologists recommend this product to the most sensitive skins. This affordable cream is easy to apply and has no scent. After 2-3 weeks of applying it twice a day (in the morning and at night), the moisturizing properties will hydrate and brighten your under eyes. You can purchase a 0.5 oz tube for under $12 and it will last for several weeks. This is a perfect product for someone in their 20s or 30s.

Cetaphil Hydrating Eye Gel-Cream

The Cetaphil Hydrating Eye Gel-Cream is another product I absolutely recommend. It is a lighter cream when compared to the CeraVe but it will offer great hydration to your eyes. Your skin will absorb it quickly and after several weeks you will notice a smoother, lighter looking skin. Just like the CeraVe, the Cetaphil Hydrating Eye Gel-Cream has no scent, making this gel-cream wonderful to work on sensitive skins. Get it for  $12 as well!

Yes to Grapefruit Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream

You will find mixed opinions and reviews about this product. Some customers are not happy with the strong grapefruit scent and others absolutely love it, claiming it does wonders for their dark circles. If you are drawn to the natural ingredients and you are ready to try the Yes to Grapefruit Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream, you can purchase a 0.5 oz tube for $12.95 on Amazon.

Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Under Eye Cream

Aveeno has been a trusted brand for over 60 years so it was only right to offer an eye cream that would please loyal customers and entice new ones. Aveeno’s Absolutely Ageless line offers a variety of products with an antioxidant-rich blackberry complex including this very eye cream. It nourishes and hydrates the skin, reducing fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, puffiness and dark circles. The vitamins and antioxidants will work wonders under your eyes but you might need to patient – it has been reported that it takes up to a month and a half to notice improvements.

Burt’s Bees Sensitive Eye Cream

Reviews can tell you that the Burt’s Bees Sensitive line is loved by many and this particular eye cream comes across as an effective and soothing eye cream. Although many customers reported problems with the pump packaging, the Burt’s Bees Eye Cream is a non-greasy and light cream, perfect for beginners. For best results, use the eye cream in the morning and evening by placing small dots around the eye area and gently massage into skin.

L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Triple Power Eye Treatment

This is a highly recommended effective treatment for puffy eyes and dark circles, and improvements are visibly dramatic after several weeks. The apricot kernel oil and hyaluronic acid will fight wrinkles, reduce bags and lift the eye area. Many men and women in their 40s have been loyal to this eye cream for several years and refuse to try something new – a wonderful and affordable product!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream

If you love Neutrogena, this is the right eye cream for you. The nice creamy gel texture will make your skin silky smooth and refreshed for hours, and eventually see those dark circles diminish in as little as 1 week. I personally would not recommend the Neutrogena Gel-Cream those who have more of a sensitive skin but if you are willing to try this light, non-greasy and no-scent gel-cream you might be surprised with the final results.

Elf illuminating Eye Cream

Illuminating? Does this eye cream have some kind of shimmer? Not at all! Don’t let the name of this eye cream scare you off. The Elf illuminating eye cream is a wonderful moisturizing cream that adds a little of luminosity on your under eyes. The vegan and cruelty-free cream will soak right in and will work on the entire eye (under eye and eyelid) – enjoy that nourished and illuminated look for only $15.

Olay Eyes Eye Lifting Serum

The Olay Lifting Serum is one of the best treatments available to treat for sagging but you must commit yourself in using this product consistently – do not expect immediate results and wait several weeks for the magic to finally happen. You will see less puffiness and smoother skin under your eyes and dark circles will diminish over time. This lifting serum may be your answer for that firmer and lift look of your dreams.

In my experience, dark under eye circles come from being a little dehydrated and/or excess toxins in the body. The body produces some toxins as it carries out normal body processes. When I wake up with a case of dark under-eye circles I add an extra scoop of Vitamin C Powder in my water a few times throughout the day. It clears up those under-eye circles quite well and provides a little energy boost.
