Buttermilk Pecan Pie

This old-fashioned recipe is always a hit and it doesn’t get any easier – 15 minutes to mix and pour and 55 minutes of impatiently waiting for this goldie goodie to bake. Let your pantry staples take the lead and surprise family and guests with this light-custardy delight.

Pecan Pie

1. Heat the Oven to 325°

2. In a Bowl, Cream 1/2 Cup of Butter and 2 of Cups Sugar

3. Add Eggs, One at a Time, Beating Well after Each Addition

4. Add 2 Tablespoons of Flour, 2 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice and 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla

5. Stir in 1 Cup of Buttermilk and 1 Cup of Chopped Pecans

6. Pour into the Pie Shell

7. Bake at 325° for 55 minutes

8. Let it Cool

8. Store in the Refrigerator
